Story
Well governer, these last days of the glorious Roman Empire are interesting
are they not ? I wish you to go to a small area called Toledo in the province
of Hispania. It is said that the purest iron ore is to be found there
in mines deep in the hills. I have already talked to the Toledo Weapons
Workers Union about going there and making me the best swords for my legions.
Pity the day when Caesar has to talk to unions! Once we would just have
thown some to the lions till the rest did what we said. Not today. Anyway
their condition is that you build them all flashy houses. None will live
in poor houses yet I will not allow any to live in villas. They must have
no wine as it hinders their ability to forge the weapons and I expect
the finest weapons for my ten legions.
Your task is to get these workmen to Toledo, build them their fine houses
and help them beat a path to the iron mines. I want this done as fast
as possible. Time is short. I will expect a report on their housing before
I will consider your task completed. Go governer.
Rules
Completion Criteria:
CC1 Make 160 weapons. There must only be Grand Insulae housing on your
contest entry map. And the Society Advisor must only have houses in the
Grand Insulae type of house. [Note a valid entry can have 0 population]
You will need to delete any non Grand Insula the month before your final
save to ensure only one bar appears in the Society advisor as this graph
is upgraded at the start of each month. As you get close to the 160 weapons
make a few saves so you can ensure this CC is right.
No other CC. Anything else is allowed. A population of 99,999 is just
there to prevent early victory.
Winning Criteria:
WC1 Fastest to make 160 weapons as listed by Trade advisor
WC2 Highest population living in Grand Insulaes.
WC3 Treasury.
If two entries finish at the same time then WC2 will be used to rank the
entries. If they have the same population then treasury will be used to
rank the entries.
Designer's Notes
Each Grand Insulae house can have any population inside
them that you like. However since its the WC2 it would be advisable
to upgrade them to Grand Insula level as early as possible. Also as
its the CC for this contest you need to either develop some GrandInsula
housing or simply delete all the other types of houses on the map the
month before your save is sent in. As long as there are 160 weapons
listed by the trade advisor the population can be 0 and still be a valid
entry.
To ensure you cannot have any Grand Insula upgrade to villas simply
make sure you do not import any vines and do not produce any wine.
The difference between Expert and Novice is just more money in Novice.
Have fun
